When we discovered our land in 2018, it was completely raw. We found a beautiful canvas to build upon within the Native Oak Woodlands. Coast Live Oak, Black Oak and the endangered Engelmann Oak trees create a beautiful canopy and habitat for the abundant wildlife. There is also manzanita, native grass and seasonal wildflowers to decorate our landscape
The permit to build our ranch was approved in February, 2020. Our intent was to make as small an impact as possible. We’ve preserved the interior of the property for the wildlife. Deer, Turkey, Bobcat, Coyote, Fox, Mountain Lions, Snakes, Bats, Frogs, Great Horned Owls, Hawks, Ravens, Woodpeckers and many more share our land.
February 2021 we moved our first horse retirees to the pasture, and the work hasn’t stopped since.
